Lesson Fees
There is no admission fee.
Most schools in Tokyo are charging ¥5,000-¥10,000 of admission fee. However, sLs Japan Orchestra does not charge an admission fee or registration fee.
The lesson fees are shown in the table below.
The content and frequency of lessons can be customized according to the customer's request.
You may book online or send us an email and inform us your requests.
All lessons must be paid in advance.
Courses
String Explorer Class (Private Lessons)
String Explorer class is private lessons for string instruments. one on one with theory and practical to prepare for ensemble training in the future. The main focus is to join ensemble training in the future. cello lessons are only available at the teacher's home.Violin and Viola lessons are available at the student's home, at the teacher's home or music studio.

An introduction to string orchestra
This course is the first step of learning to play with another musician. (pair-up students ) two students. For example ( can be two violin students or a violin and a cello students )
Private lessons and ensemble training - Ensemble training - 2 or more students per lesson

Kids/ Youth/ Adults Ensemble training
This course is the next step after the introduction course to string orchestra.At least 4 students and above. For example3 violin students and a cello student ortwo violin students, a viola and a cello student. If needed, we can accommodate more students.
At Rehearsal Studio

5 students ~ 90min~ ¥13,500 per student
6 students ~ 90min~ ¥12,500 per student
7 students ~ 90min~ ¥12,000 per student
8 students ~ 90min~ ¥11,500 per student

10 students ~ 90min~ ¥10,500 per student
15 min - Rest ( Total course time - 105 min )
Travel fees are not included in the calculations above and must be paid for by the student(s) on top of the lesson fees.Travel rates and/or expenses may be lower, if a few lessons are being taught in the same area.※Please contact us and inform us your location ( nearest station )
* In case of group lessons , instructor`s transportation costs will be shared among the students.
* If you want to take lessons at a music studio ( 20 locations in Tokyo- Shibuya-ku, Minato-ku, Setagaya-ku, Shinagawa-ku, Toshima-ku, Bunkyo-ku, Meguro-ku, Chuo-ku, Chiyoda-ku, Koto-ku, Ota-ku, Taito-ku, Tachikawa, Musashino),
*48 Hour Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy. As long as the school is given at least 48 hours notice the student may reschedule their lesson without penalty. However, any notifications under 48 hours notice will result in the student forfeiting the lesson fee and no makeup lesson will be offered. In the case of illness a doctor’s certificate will be required.
*For studio lessons. If you want to change the lesson date and time, you will be charged the studio cancellation fee if it is less than 6 days before the lesson.
